Every Nightoff project runs the same six-step process. No mystery, no surprises, no "trust us we'll figure it out." Here's exactly how working with us looks.
Inquiry & Discovery Call
You book a free call through Calendly. We talk for 15–30 minutes about your business, your audience, your goals, and what content actually moves your numbers. Not a sales call — a real conversation about whether Nightoff is the right fit.
What you walk away with: a clear sense of which package or retainer makes sense, ballpark pricing, realistic timeline, and a yes/no on fit. We don't try to fit every project. If it's not right we say so.
Quote, Scope & Creative Direction
Within 2 business days of the discovery call you get a written proposal: exact scope, exact deliverables, exact price, exact timeline, and a creative direction summary so you know what you're going to get.
You can ask questions, request adjustments, or sign off. Nothing's locked until you decide it's locked.
Booking & Pre-Production
You confirm the scope and pay a 50% deposit via Square Invoices (one-time) or Square Subscriptions (retainers). Date locks the moment the deposit clears.
In the week before the shoot we run pre-production:
- Location scout (in-person for big projects, virtual for smaller ones)
- Shot list built and shared with you
- Wardrobe / setup / prep guidance sent
- Weather + lighting check 48 hours before
- Final logistics confirmed day-before
Shoot Day
We show up early, set up fast, shoot efficiently. You don't have to entertain us — we work around your business, not the other way around. You'll see live previews on the camera throughout the shoot.
Gear on every shoot: Sony FX3 cine body, Sony A7IV photo body, full Sigma cinema lens lineup (16-28mm, 24-70mm, 28-45mm, 70-200mm), gimbal, drone, crash cam where relevant.
Post-Production
Everything gets color-graded on the signature Nightoff LUTs, edited to the brief, and prepped for delivery. Major projects get a rough-cut preview at the halfway point so you can flag anything before final.
Music is always licensed. No copyright strikes, no platform takedowns.
Delivery & Revision
Final files are delivered via a private link. Everything is color-graded and formatted for every platform you need — vertical reels for IG/TikTok, square for feed, horizontal for YouTube, full-res photos for web and print, 4K masters where relevant.
One revision round is included on every project. You flag anything you want adjusted, we turn it around in 2–3 days, and we close the project out.
Then we ask if you want to talk about a retainer, because that's where the math actually works.
Deposit + Balance
50% deposit locks your date. Balance due before delivery. Retainers bill monthly via Square Subscriptions — quarterly auto-renew with 60-day notice.
Usage Rights
Full commercial usage rights on every photo and video. Use it on your site, ads, social, billboards — forever. No licensing fees on top.
Rescheduling
Rescheduling is free up to 48 hours before shoot day. Inside 48 hours, deposit holds against the next booking. Weather reschedules are always free.
Rush Turnaround
Standard turnaround is 5–14 days. 48-hour rush is available as an add-on ($200) on most one-time packages. Event Premium includes 2-day rush at no extra cost.
Common Questions
What if I'm not happy with the work?
One revision round is included on every project. If after revisions you're still not happy, we'll work with you to make it right — not because we have to, but because we're not interested in clients who feel like they got bad value. We've never had a project end on a bad note.
Can you handle a project on short notice?
Yes, depending on calendar availability. Same-week availability is standard for retainer clients. One-time bookings 5–10 days out is normal. Genuine emergencies (next-day shoots) are case-by-case — reach out and we'll tell you.
Do I need to provide anything?
Access to the location, decision-maker availability the day of, and any specific assets we discussed (logo files, brand colors, reference content). That's it — we bring everything else.
What if the weather is bad on shoot day?
We reschedule. No penalty. Weather is part of the gig. For exterior shoots specifically we monitor forecasts 72 hours out and confirm or reschedule 48 hours before.
Can I see the raw footage?
Standard package: no — you get the finished deliverables. Premium event coverage includes raw footage delivery. Larger custom projects can include raw footage as an add-on. Ask during the discovery call.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes, for projects that require confidentiality. Standard mutual NDAs are fine. For sensitive work (legal/medical/HR) we have specific language to add.
